Инженеры из Стэнфордского университета создали искусственную кожу, способную передавать тактильные сигналы в мозг. Представленная исследователями кожа состоит из двух слоев, верхний из которых отвечает за механическую чувствительность, а нижний – за передачу электрических сигналов и перевод их в биохимические стимулы, совместимые с нервными клетками. Результаты работы вскоре будут опубликованы в Science.
