OpenAI согласилась приобрести Astral, которая создает *современные* инструменты на Python для разработчиков, чтобы интегрировать её команду в Codex. Ну и по пути сообщает, что у Codex более 2 млн пользователей — в три раза больше, чем в январе. При этом от лица разработчиков заявляю — мы всё больше предпочитаем Claude Code. И разрыв между этими продуктами не сокращается, а субъективно наоборот — растет.

Ну и да, в MacBook Neo два порта USB‑C с разными характеристиками: один — USB 3.0 (Type‑C) со скоростью передачи до 10 Гбит/с, другой — USB 2.0 (Type‑C), ограниченный 480 Мбит/с.

Интересно, что внешней маркировки я на них не увидел, видимо, "должны знать" :)

Первые впечатления от MacBook Neo — новый самый младший ноутбук от Apple. Он вообще не кажется бюджетным: яркий дисплей и алюминиевый корпус, но клавиатура немного хлипкая, что предсказуемо было.

Теперь я не очень понимаю, в чем его отличие от айпада. Видимо, выбор между "встроенная клавиатура" и "тач экран". Ну, рано или поздно они должны будут сойтись.

И это для меня удивительно — все тесты показали, что их матрасы прямо никуда не годятся по точности отслеживания. Polymarket удаляет долго существовавшие рынки, позволявшие пользователям делать ставки на вероятность ядерного взрыва на фоне ударов по Ирану. В прошлом году совокупный обьем ставок на эти события был $1,7 млн, что не так уж и мало. В этом году, как вы понимаете, интерес существенно бОльший.

Я не понимаю, чем людям помешали эти ставки, единственная идея — сейчас сильно больше шансы на "манипуляцию", т.е. ради высокой выплаты можно попытаться что-нибудь взорвать.

Тут происходит небольшая революция — появился репозиторий, в котором, как утверждается, научились заниматься обучением нейронок на чипах Apple Neural Engine напрямую. Сейчас ANE используются для запуска готовых моделей в основном, автор утверждает, что разобрал приватные API эппла, и теперь всё можно учить прямо на устройстве, не покупая себе очередной A100.

В реальности, скорее всего, пользоваться этим будет нельзя, пока эппл явно не разрешит. Но фактически то, что автор репозитория показал, означает, что по сути нас ограничивает только софт, ограничения на уровне железа практически не существует. Хайпа, правда, многовато, т.к. устройства с ANE конечно не рассчитаны на ту огромную и долговременную нагрузку, которая нужна для большого обучения.
