Ну вот и подробности вчерашней аварии с Убером: пешеход с велосипедом (да, это был пешеход, толкавший велосипед) буквально выпрыгнул на полосу перед самоездящей машиной. Сочетание неясной разметки, позднего времени и непредсказуемого действия пешехода привело к аварии. Пока следствие склоняется к тому, что авария была неминуема для любого автомобиля.

Обратите внимание, что фактически автомобиль все же нарушал правила: в зоне с ограничением в 35 миль в час он ехал 38. А все почему? Не надо обучать селфдрайвинг на данных таксистов - они всегда выжимают из ситуации все :)

"The driver said it was like a flash, the person walked out in front of them," said Sylvia Moir, police chief in Tempe, Ariz., the location for the first pedestrian fatality involving a self-driving car.
