Google утверждает что по их собственным замерам их TPU от 15 до 30 раз быстрее, чем комбинация традиционных CPU+GPU. Но важнее, кажется, другое - их TPU до 80 раз энергоэффективнее, что невероятно важно когда ты как гугл.

По сути большие IT-компании это конверторы электроэнергии в деньги.
